Work with your AI departments

Use department chat, memory, instructions, and controls to get reliable work from Winglo.

Each Winglo department has a lead, a work area, memory, and settings. The tools shown depend on the department and your plan.

Start with a clear request#

Open a department and use its home or chat view. A strong request includes:

  • The goal
  • The audience or customer
  • Important facts and limits
  • The output you want
  • Whether the work must stay as a draft

For example:

Create a short launch plan for our new bookkeeping service. Target Dutch freelancers. Keep every item as a draft for review.

If key details are missing, the department may ask questions before it starts.

Continue or start a new conversation#

Winglo saves conversation history. Use an existing conversation when the new request depends on earlier context. Start a new conversation when you want a clean topic.

When available, type @ to involve another active department lead. Winglo shows which teammates are available. The first department stays responsible for the conversation while the other department supplies focused help.

Attach useful source material#

Use the attachment control when it is shown. Add only files that the department needs for the task. Check the upload result before relying on it. If a file is rejected, use the error message to correct its type or size.

Do not upload passwords, secret keys, or data that the task does not need.

Understand department memory#

Open Memory inside a department. Memory is grouped into:

  • Knowledge: stable facts about your business
  • Learnings: patterns learned from work and feedback
  • Decisions: choices that should guide later work

You can add, edit, or remove memory when the controls are available. Some departments can read a document and suggest memory items. Review those suggestions before saving them.

Memory is department-specific. A fact in one department may not appear in another unless it is shared through a task or added there too.

Give feedback that can be used#

A useful rejection says what was wrong and what should change.

Weak: "I do not like it."

Better: "Reject this. The tone is too formal. Use short sentences and avoid finance jargon."

Your approvals, revisions, and decisions can help the department improve future work.

Manage a department#

Open the department's Settings for its local controls. Depending on the department, these can include autonomy, instructions, or a pause control.

Use Settings → My AI Departments for workspace-wide department management. There you can see availability, activate or pause a department, change its display name, add instructions, or reset its guided setup.

Resetting setup can clear department setup data. Read the preview and warning before you confirm.

Stay in control#

Winglo can prepare work and may offer actions. A confirmation or approval screen tells you when your decision is required. Rejecting a proposed action means it does not run.

Check the destination, audience, and final content before any external action.
